Controversial Mass Marriage Event by IMC Postponed Due to Lack of Permissions

The proposed mass marriage event organized by the Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC) for individuals who converted to Islam has been postponed. The district administration denied permission, resulting in the postponement of the controversial event.
IMC chief Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan stated, ‘We work within the ambit of the law. The mass marriage program will be held only after receiving administrative permission.’ Despite requesting approval from the authorities, the event has been put on hold.
The planned ceremony included five couples converting from Hinduism to Islam and was scheduled for July 21 at Khalil Higher Secondary School. The postponement has sparked protests from Hindu organizations, who demand action against Khan and IMC's plans.
