Border Security Force Thwarts Smuggling: Seizes Chinese Pistols and Pakistani Bullets

The Border Security Force (BSF) made a significant recovery of arms and ammunition along the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab on Thursday. The cache included four Chinese pistols, 50 rounds of Pakistan-manufactured live bullets, and eight metal pins. The discovery was made in Kalsian village of Tarn Taran district around 2 AM by a BSF search party, acting on specific information.

According to a spokesperson, the items were found in a yellow packet with illuminating sticks, leading to suspicions that the ammunition was dropped by a drone. The bullets were marked with 'POF,' indicating their origin from Pakistan Ordnance Factories.

'This notable seizure by BSF on the border highlights the unwavering commitment of BSF troops to thwart the nefarious designs of Pakistan-based mentors of terror networks operating on Indian soil,' the spokesperson said. The BSF had recently recovered three pistols near the International Border in Fazilka district, further emphasizing their vigilant efforts.
