Chhattisgarh's Plan to Resolve Naxalism and Implement Uniform Civil Code
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma announced that the Naxalism issue in the state will be resolved within three years. Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vijay Sharma, made a significant announcement on Thursday, stating that the Naxalism issue in the state will be resolved within three years.
Speaking at an event, Sharma attributed this ambitious goal to the strong leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Additionally, Sharma divulged that the BJP-led state government plans to implement the Uniform Civil Code.
In light of recent violent incidents, including an IED explosion in Bijapur district that killed two STF personnel, Sharma emphasized that Naxalism cannot be defeated by force alone. He advocated for a comprehensive approach and expressed readiness for unconditional talks with Naxalites, even suggesting dialogues via video call or phone.
