Italian police have captured Amarjeet Vishnoi, a notorious criminal from Rajasthan, India, with efforts underway for his extradition, according to a senior Rajasthan Police official.
Additional Director General of the Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Rajasthan Police, Dinesh MN, stated that Vishnoi was apprehended on July 8 in Sicily, Italy. Vishnoi carried a bounty of Rs 50,000.
Vishnoi, an active associate of the Rohit Godara gang, has multiple criminal charges pending in various Rajasthan police stations. His arrest was facilitated by a reference letter issued to verify his whereabouts in Trapani, Sicily.
