A 34-year-old man has been charged with stalking a woman employed at a diamond company in south Mumbai over a span of seven months despite previous warnings and a public thrashing, according to police officials.

Identified as Vicky Rajesh Gupta from Nallasopara in Palghar district, he allegedly began stalking the 27-year-old social media executive in January, the complainant detailed.

Repeated incidents saw Gupta following the woman on her commute, leading to a crowd intervention and several police involvements, culminating in a formal charge under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Azad Maidan Police Station.
