The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Punjab province stated that a legal case has been registered against ul Haq, accusing him of planning sabotage targeting significant installations in the region.

"In a significant breakthrough in the fight against terrorism, the CTD, in collaboration with intelligence agencies, successfully apprehended Amin ul Haq, a senior leader of Al-Qaeda," commented a spokesperson from the department.

Osama Bin Laden was killed in 2011 during a U.S. raid on his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
