Director Seeks Bail Over Ghatkopar Hoarding Collapse

The Bombay High Court directed the police on Friday to file a detailed affidavit responding to advertising firm director Bhavesh Bhinde's petition regarding the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse case.

Bhinde, charged with culpable homicide for the incident that killed 17, requested the FIR against him be quashed, claiming it was an 'act of God' and seeks interim bail pending the plea's hearing. The bench of Justices Bharati Dangre and Manjusha highlighted the petition's contention of illegal arrest without the proper grounds as per the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for July 26.
