Alert Issued Against JeM Propaganda Video: Caution to Citizens

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have warned citizens against sharing a new propaganda video by the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). Sharing or possessing the video, which mimics a Bollywood movie poster, may lead to charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, (UAPA).

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday alerted citizens about a propaganda video released by the banned pro-Pakistan terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), urging them not to share it to avoid charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The video, lasting 5 minutes and 55 seconds, features a poster of the Bollywood movie Phantom and was reportedly released around 2 PM. 'Under no circumstances should this video be forwarded. Possessing and forwarding such content is an offense under sections 13 and 18 of the UAPA,' the police asserted on X.

Citizens and officials have been instructed not to forward the video and to report its receipt, including the sender's details and the time of receipt. Police and civil officials are mandated to inform their supervisory officers via text. The police highlighted that terrorist outfits, backed by the Pakistan army, are waging psychological information warfare with fake videos targeting security forces in J&K.
