Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda on Tuesday issued a stern warning to police officers and personnel against creating and uploading social media reels while in uniform and on duty. He stressed that this behavior could bring disrepute to the department.

The warning follows a recent circular from the commissioner's office, which described making reels in uniform as indiscipline and a violation of department rules. Dayananda highlighted that the uniform symbolizes commitment and responsibility, and its misuse in public forums could negatively impact the department's image.

He directed senior officials to sensitise their teams and enforce strict measures against non-compliance. The department's social media unit has also been tasked with monitoring and reporting any violations.
