Local Congress Leader Found Murdered in Chhattisgarh

Harinath Patel, a 45-year-old local Congress leader, was discovered murdered on Wednesday near a nullah in Chhattisgarh's Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, according to police sources.

Patel, an executive member of the Baramkela Block Congress Committee, appeared to have been brutally attacked with sharp weapons on his neck and head by unidentified attackers as he returned home from Baramkela on his motorcycle on Tuesday night.

His motorcycle was discovered parked a short distance from the crime scene, authorities reported. The police are actively searching for clues to identify and apprehend the attackers.
