Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has made a strong vow to avenge the recent bloodshed caused by terrorist activities in the Jammu region. Speaking on Wednesday, Sinha asserted that efforts to disturb peace and progress in Jammu will not prevail.

Sinha's remarks came against the backdrop of a series of terrorist attacks that have rocked the region over the past 45 days. Addressing the issue at a function at Raj Bhavan, he said: ''Today, once again, the terrorist country of Pakistan is making efforts to disturb peace in the Jammu division. It wants to stop its progress.'' From Poonch-Rajouri to Kathua-Reasi and Doda, families striving for a brighter future are being targeted, he added. ''Every drop of blood shed by Pakistani terrorists will definitely be avenged,'' Sinha vowed.

He underscored the importance of standing together against terrorism and called on the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities to collaborate with security forces. ''Your help is also needed to destroy the drug network. Those who support terrorism and drug smuggling do not belong to any community or caste. If action is taken against such people, then I think it should be welcomed,'' the LG said. Notably, 15 terror incidents in the past 45 days have led to the deaths of 10 security personnel and 9 pilgrims, while injuring 58 others.
