900 Kilograms of Beef Seized in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District

Ansar Shaikh, 23, was booked after 900 kilograms of beef worth Rs 8.8 lakh was seized from his vehicle in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. The vehicle was stopped at a check post on Vaijapur-Shivur road, and he was charged under section 325 and sub section 5(b)(k) of applicable laws.

Ansar Shaikh, 23, has been booked following the seizure of 900 kilograms of beef from his vehicle in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, a police official said on Thursday.

The beef, valued at Rs 8.8 lakh, was confiscated after authorities stopped the vehicle on Vaijapur-Shivur road at a check post on Wednesday.

The vehicle's driver was detained and charged under section 325 and sub section 5(b)(k) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act, confirmed the Shivur police station official.
