Samajwadi Party to Install 'Samvidhan Manastambh'

The Samajwadi Party, led by Akhilesh Yadav, is set to establish a 'Samvidhan Manastambh' at its headquarters in Lucknow. This monument will house a copy of the Constitution and commemorate 'Reservation Day' as its Foundation Day, highlighting the historical significance of social justice and reservation in India.

The Samajwadi Party, under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, announced on Friday the establishment of a 'Samvidhan Manastambh' at its headquarters in Lucknow. This monument is to house a copy of the Indian Constitution.

Akhilesh Yadav, in a post on social media platform X, revealed that the party has chosen to celebrate 'Reservation Day' as the 'Foundation Day' of the 'Constitution Manastambh.' This marks the day Shrimant Maharaj Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj of Kolhapur initiated the implementation of reservation, influenced by the vision of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.

Yadav emphasized that the establishment of the 'Constitution Manastambh' on July 26 pays homage to the spirit of social justice, which was enshrined in the Indian Constitution through the efforts of BR Ambedkar. This move is aimed at ensuring the continuous visibility and importance of social justice in India.
