Major Gubernatorial Shakeup Announced by Rashtrapati Bhavan

The Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced several key gubernatorial appointments. Lakshman Prasad Acharya is now the Governor of Assam and holds additional charge of Manipur. Gulab Chand Kataria is the new Governor of Punjab. Other significant appointments include Om Prakash Mathur for Sikkim and Jishnu Dev Varma for Telangana.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced a series of major gubernatorial appointments, reshuffling governors across several states. Lakshman Prasad Acharya has been appointed the Governor of Assam, with additional duties in Manipur. This follows Gulab Chand Kataria replacing Banwarilal Purohit as the Governor of Punjab.

Acharya's previous post will now be filled by Om Prakash Mathur, who becomes the Governor of Sikkim. Additionally, veteran BJP leaders have taken up pivotal roles in other states, including Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Telangana.

Former IAS officer K Kailashnathan has been appointed Lt Governor of Puducherry. These appointments take effect as the new governors assume charge.
