Manipur Police Arrest Key Militants in Multiple Operations
Manipur Police apprehended four militants from the United National Liberation Front in Imphal West district. These individuals were linked to a series of violent incidents. Additionally, an active member of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party was arrested in Kakching District for involvement in extortion.

Manipur Police have successfully apprehended four militants from the United National Liberation Front (Pambei faction) in a significant crackdown in Imphal West district, according to official reports.
The arrests were made in the Chingmeirong area on Friday. The detained militants were reportedly involved in a variety of criminal activities, including a firing incident, civilian assault, and outraging the modesty of a woman, according to a police control room statement.
In a related development, on Saturday, police also arrested an active member of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (Taibangnganba faction) from Tejpur IVR in Kakching District. The individual was reportedly engaged in extortion activities.
