Lebanon Requests U.S. Intervention Amid Rising Tensions
Lebanon has asked the U.S. to encourage Israeli restraint following an attack in the Golan Heights, blamed on Hezbollah. Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib conveyed the message to Reuters. Hezbollah denies any involvement in the incident, which resulted in the deaths of 12 children and teenagers.
The Lebanese government has called on the United States to urge Israel to exercise restraint, following a deadly attack in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights attributed to Hezbollah. The attack left 12 children and teenagers dead.
Lebanon's Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib informed Reuters that the U.S. had also asked the Lebanese government to relay a message to Hezbollah, requesting the militant group to show restraint. Hezbollah has denied any involvement in the attack.
In response to the incident, Israel has vowed to take swift retaliatory action, escalating tensions in the already volatile region.
