The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned AAP MLA from Delhi's Rajinder Nagar, Durgesh Pathak, in the wake of a tragic incident involving the loss of three lives due to flooding in a coaching centre's basement.
The incident, which resulted in the deaths of three civil services aspirants—including two women—occurred at the Rau's IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. The NCW has noted concerns about ignored appeals for drain cleaning in the area.
A hearing has been scheduled for August 2, 2024, at 12:30 pm, with Pathak being directed to appear in person. The NCW has warned that non-compliance will lead to appropriate actions.
