Police have intensified their efforts to solve the murder case of a 20-year-old woman, whose body was discovered in a thicket near Uran railway station in Navi Mumbai last week, a senior police official stated on Monday.

The woman’s body was discovered during the early hours of Saturday. Authorities believe she was killed between 3:30pm and 4:30pm on Friday, a time frame that aligns with her half-day leave from her office in Navi Mumbai.

“Teams have been dispatched to apprehend the suspect. We are examining the case from every possible angle,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare told PTI.

In a startling twist, the victim’s father has accused a man from a different community of the crime, alleging that the incident was a retaliatory act. He stated that he had previously lodged a harassment complaint against the same man in 2019.
