Fifteen individuals have been arrested and five remain on the run in connection with this incident that transpired under the jurisdiction of the Hatigaon police station over the weekend. The woman's husband, who works in Mumbai, returned home upon hearing about her alleged affair.

In a dramatic turn of events, the woman's lover, who attempted to defend her, was also assaulted but managed to escape. Police intervened and rescued the woman, leading to the filing of a case against 20 individuals, 15 of whom have been detained. Additional efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining suspects.
