The explosion occurred inside the shop of a scrap dealer situated in Sher Colony, Baramulla district, at a time when people were unloading scrap from a truck, according to officials.

Two individuals died instantly, while two others succumbed to injuries later. The victims, identified as Nazir Ahmad Nadroo, Aazim Ashraf Mir, Aadil Rashid Bhat, and Mohammad Azhar, all resided in Sher Colony. The precise cause of the blast remains under investigation, as forensic experts have been dispatched to the site.
