Madhya Pradesh Announces Subsidies for LPG Refills and Festival Allowances for Ladli Behnas
The Madhya Pradesh government will provide Rs 450 subsidy for each LPG cylinder refill to eligible women beneficiaries of the Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana. Additionally, beneficiaries will receive Rs 250 for the Rakhi festival. The measures are expected to benefit 40 lakh women. The state government will also provide Rs 90 lakh ex-gratia to the family of a deceased ASI.

The Madhya Pradesh government announced Rs 450 subsidy for refilling each LPG cylinder for eligible women or 'Ladli Behnas' under the Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana.
All Ladli Behna scheme beneficiaries will also receive Rs 250 for the Rakhi festival on August 1, as per the BJP's 2023 Madhya Pradesh assembly elections manifesto.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav indicated that 40 lakh women are expected to benefit from these measures. Yadav also mentioned that all welfare schemes will be reviewed to be more public-oriented.
