Violent Clashes and Shocking Arson in Prayagraj: Two Major Incidents Unfold

A cross-firing over shop possession in Prayagraj left one dead and another injured, while a separate arson incident saw a woman and her daughter set afire. Six people have been detained, and investigations are ongoing. No formal complaint has been filed for the cross-firing incident, but a case has been registered for the arson based on the father-in-law's complaint.

A cross-firing incident between two groups over shop possession in Prayagraj's Ganganagar area led to one fatality and one injury on Tuesday, according to police officials.

DCP (Ganganagar) Abhishek Bharti reported that Baharia police station was alerted to a cross-firing incident over shop possession, resulting in the death of Mulayam Yadav, 30, and injury to a youth named Jitendra. The dispute had persisted for a month.

Six people are currently in police custody for questioning connected to the incident, though no formal complaint has been received yet. In a separate arson attack in the Sarai Inayat area, an unidentified person set a woman and her four-year-old daughter on fire. Both victims are recovering in hospital.
