An unidentified man's lifeless body was discovered floating in the Retibunder creek in Thane's Kalwa area on Wednesday, according to civic officials.
The man, estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, was spotted by bystanders who immediately alerted the authorities.
The body was retrieved around 3:20 PM by fire brigade and disaster management cell personnel, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the disaster management cell at Thane Municipal Corporation.
