China Rebuts German Cyber Intrusion Claims
China has refuted Germany's unfounded accusations regarding a cyber intrusion allegedly conducted by China in 2021. The Chinese embassy in Germany criticized the politicization of cybersecurity issues and denied any involvement in purported cyber threats. Germany had summoned China's ambassador to lodge a formal complaint.
China has dismissed Germany's accusations of a 'so-called cyber intrusion,' asserting that the allegations are baseless. The Chinese embassy in Germany firmly rejected claims of China-related cyber threats in a statement issued late on Wednesday.
Germany's accusations stem from a 2021 cyberattack on its federal cartography agency, which Berlin attributes to espionage activities by China. In response, Germany has summoned the Chinese ambassador to Berlin to issue a formal complaint.
