Police Nab Maoist Cadres in Telangana's Bhadradri Kothagudem District

Three Maoists, including an area committee member of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) and a sympathiser, were apprehended on Thursday in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana, police reported.
The arrests took place in the Damaratogu forest area, where special police teams were conducting a combing operation following a recent exchange of fire with Maoist forces. Among the detained was a woman Maoist.
The three arrested individuals were implicated in various extremist activities in both Telangana and Chhattisgarh. Authorities also recovered an INSAS rifle with 29 rounds from the possession of the area committee member. The group was reportedly holding a meeting to revive the Maoist party when arrested.
