National pistol coach Samaresh Jung was shocked upon returning from the Paris Olympics to find that his house of 75 years has been declared an 'illegal construction' and he has been given just 48 hours to vacate.

Jung, dubbed 'goldfinger' for his outstanding performance in the Commonwealth Games, says he needs at least two months to pack up and leave. Jung has been renting the property from Mr. Singh since 1978.

The Land and Development Office (L&DO) served the notice shortly after his arrival from Paris. His house in Civil Lines, along with 200 others, is affected. Jung will present his case to the Delhi High Court on Monday, questioning the urgency of the eviction. With no other residence in Delhi, Jung faces an uncertain future.
