Karnataka CM Inspects Landslide Damage in Ponnampet

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the landslide-hit area of Srimangala Kutta in Ponnampet taluk. Over 20 families lost their homes due to the landslide in late July. The Chief Minister directed the completion of critical repair works. Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh briefed him on the ongoing safety measures.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday visited the landslide-ravaged area of Srimangala Kutta in Ponnampet taluk. The visit involved discussions with officials and local residents.

The disaster has left more than 20 families homeless after the hill collapsed during the last week of July.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed the immediate completion of key infrastructure repairs, including the suspension bridge and road construction projects. Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh provided an overview of the effects of the landslide and currently implemented safety measures.
