Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and an army commander on Friday engaged in crucial discussions aimed at enhancing security, fostering peace, and promoting development within the state.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, Lt Gen H S Sahi, held a meeting with Rio at the chief minister’s office to deliberate on these pivotal issues, as confirmed by a release from the Assam Rifles.

Lt Gen Sahi reiterated the army's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Nagaland and lauded the state government for its continuous support in facilitating military operations and initiatives.

Subsequently, Lt Gen Sahi visited the headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) to review their operational preparedness.
