Forest officials in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district arrested a poacher following the seizure of a leopard skull and a barking deer skull from his residence.
On a tip-off, the forest officials raided Lanka Badra's home in Makabadi village. According to Samrat Gowda, deputy director of Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR), various incriminating items were found during the search.
Badra was apprehended and during interrogation, he disclosed his poaching methods and led the officials to the crime scene, where more animal bones and weapons were discovered. A case has been registered, and the investigation continues.
