Inside Israel's Multi-Layered Air Defence Systems

Israel has enhanced its air defence systems in response to threats from countries like Iran. Systems like Arrow, David's Sling, and Iron Dome are developed by state-owned companies with U.S. backing. Israel's multi-layered air defence includes systems like ARROW, designed to counter ballistic missiles. Developed with Iran in mind, Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 intercept missiles outside Earth's atmosphere.

On October 31, Israel used Arrow amid the war with Hamas to intercept a missile in the Red Sea. Recently, Germany committed to buying Arrow-3 for nearly €4 billion. David’s Sling and Iron Dome systems cover mid and short-range threats, adding robust protection.
