A Dalit man was allegedly abducted, assaulted, and forced to drink urine by two upper-caste individuals in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district, according to police officials on Monday.
The incident occurred in Barha village on July 30, as detailed in an FIR registered at the SC/ST police station. Accused Sallu Budholia and Suraj Kachera face multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The victim, who had gained a reputation for freeing village land from encroachers, was allegedly abducted and beaten after refusing to extort money for the accused. Both alleged attackers have been taken into custody, with investigations ongoing, Narsinghpur SP Amit Kumar confirmed.
