Retired IAS officer K Kailashnathan is set to take the oath as the new Lt Governor of Puducherry at a ceremony scheduled for Wednesday at Raj Nivas.
The oath of office will be administered by Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court D Krishnakumar, according to official sources.
Kailashnathan will become the 25th Lt Governor of Puducherry, filling a position that has been under additional charge since 2021 following the departure of former IPS officer Kiran Bedi. The swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow at 11:20 am.
