In a statement released on Monday, ADR clarified that their report never suggested that discrepancies between initial and final voter turnout figures benefited the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The organization asserted that certain media outlets had misquoted their findings and may have unknowingly attributed VFD's results to ADR.

Sources indicated that a press conference held by ADR after VFD's report was released possibly contributed to the spread of 'ongoing false narratives'. The ADR continues to express concern over the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter turnout data. The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition to revert to using ballot papers, citing that it would create unnecessary confusion among voters during an ongoing electoral process.
