Man Arrested for Alleged Molestation and Rape of Minor in Khar

A 65-year-old man allegedly molested and raped a minor girl in his care at his home in Khar, Mumbai. Police have registered a case against him, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. The accused's live-in partner had adopted the 15-year-old victim three months ago.

A 65-year-old man is facing serious charges after allegedly molesting and raping a minor girl in his care at his residence in Khar, a western suburb of Mumbai.

The incident came to light following a complaint, leading the police to register a case against the man on Sunday. He is currently receiving cancer treatment at a hospital, according to an official from the Khar police station.

The minor girl, aged 15, was adopted by the accused's live-in partner three months prior to the alleged incident. She was reportedly alone in the flat when the man sexually assaulted her. Charges have been filed under the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act.
