Notorious Temple Thief Caught in Pune District

A notorious thief, Vinayak Jite, involved in stealing from 11 temples in Maharashtra's Pune district, has been apprehended by the police. Valuables worth Rs 4 lakh were recovered from him. Jite admitted to the crimes during an investigation, confirming thefts in multiple talukas within the district.

A notorious criminal allegedly involved in thefts at 11 temples across Maharashtra's Pune district has been apprehended, police reported.

Authorities seized valuables worth Rs 4 lakh from the suspect, identified as Vinayak Jite, a resident of Shirur taluka.

During the investigation, Jite confessed to committing thefts in various temples in Shikrapur, Khed, Shirur, Ranjangaon, and Ghodegaon areas, confirming his involvement in a series of temple theft cases.
