The body of a woman was exhumed from her grave on Thursday for postmortem after her father claimed she was murdered by her husband, police sources revealed. Munna Khan filed a complaint against 25-year-old Azhar, accusing him of strangling his daughter Anam Fatima, 23, and burying her on July 30 at Ghatgate cemetery.
Following Khan's complaint, police registered a murder case against Azhar at Jaisinghpura Khor police station. The exhumation was carried out in the presence of a sub-divisional officer, and the postmortem was conducted by a medical board on Thursday.
