Court Combines Cases Against Azam Khan

A court has ordered to consolidate various cases against Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan. The cases, dating back to 2019, involve encroachment, theft, and eviction over waqf property. Despite being convicted last year in a separate case, he remains in Sitapaur jail.

In a significant legal development, a court has ruled to combine multiple cases against Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan into one.

According to Khan's lawyer, Advocate Zubair Ahmed Khan, these cases were originally being heard individually in the MP-MLA court of Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar. 'The court has accepted our plea and ordered us to combine them into one case,' said Ahmed.

The cases, initiated in 2019, involve allegations of encroachment over waqf property, theft of cattle, and forced eviction of residents. The local police have already filed charge sheets for all these cases. Despite facing more than 90 cases, of which 40 are still sub judice, Khan was convicted last year in a fake birth certificate case and is currently lodged in Sitapaur jail.
