CENTCOM Neutralizes Houthi Threats in Yemen
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the destruction of a Houthi missile launcher, an uncrewed surface vessel, and two uncrewed aerial vehicles within the last 24 hours. CENTCOM cited these actions as necessary to neutralize clear and imminent threats to U.S. and coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported on Friday that its forces had successfully destroyed an Iranian-backed Houthi missile launcher and an uncrewed surface vessel in Houthi-controlled Yemen within the previous 24 hours.
Additionally, CENTCOM confirmed the elimination of two Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicles over the Red Sea. These measures were taken to mitigate threats.
According to CENTCOM, the neutralized weapons posed a clear and imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the area.
