Mastermind behind Credit Card Scam Arrested in Uttar Pradesh

The West Bengal CID apprehended a man from Uttar Pradesh, blamed for his role in a credit card scam, according to a senior officer on Sunday.

A state CID team raided Lakhimpur Kheri near the Nepal border on Saturday, following a complaint at Lake Town Police Station, and captured the suspect.

He is alleged to be a mastermind behind a credit card fraud involving fake car rental websites, which illicitly obtained credit and debit card details from users booking cars. The suspect is currently under transit remand, the officer added.
