Rheinmetall Supplies Tanks to Czech Republic in Support of Ukraine

German defense company Rheinmetall will supply Czech Republic with 14 Leopard 2A4 battle tanks and one armored recovery vehicle. This is part of a swap mechanism to support Ukraine against Russia. The order, valued in the low three-digit million euro range, will be completed by 2026.

German defense company Rheinmetall announced on Monday that it will supply the Czech Republic with battle tanks as part of a swap mechanism designed to support Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

The Czech army is set to receive 14 Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks and one armored recovery vehicle. In return, the Czech Republic will send military equipment to Ukraine, according to Rheinmetall's statement.

The total value of the order is in the low three-digit million euro range, with delivery expected to be completed by early 2026.
