The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken action against revenue officer Ashok Kumar for allegedly amassing assets far beyond his known income, according to officials.
The investigation by the ACB revealed that Kumar owns a double-storey palatial house, substantial bank balances, and luxury vehicles. Furthermore, large expenditures were noted during family functions in the Jammu district.
Kumar, who had previously been arrested for bribery, faces charges after a verification process showed he had assets well beyond his legitimate earnings as a public servant.
