Navi Mumbai Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against two women working at an autism therapy centre, accusing them of burning a four-year-old boy with an incense stick. The FIR followed a complaint from the child's father and falls under the Juvenile Justice Act, according to an official statement.
The boy had been receiving therapy at the centre for the past two years, said Assistant Police Inspector Kishore Khadke. Last week, the accused, aged 32 and 35, allegedly burned the boy's palm with an incense stick. When the child informed his parents about the injuries, they promptly lodged a complaint.
No arrests have been made so far, said Inspector Khadke.
