The MP/MLA court has issued a non-bailable warrant for AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and five others, as they did not surrender post their conviction and sentencing in a 2001 road blockade protest.
The court had confirmed the 45-day jail term for Singh, former MLA Anoop Sanda, and others, mandating their surrender on August 9.
The special court, convened by Special Magistrate Shubham Verma, issued the warrants when Singh and others failed to appear. The upcoming hearing is set for August 20.
