A 16-year-old girl, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances from Delhi's Rohini neighborhood, has been located in Panchkula, Haryana, Delhi Police confirmed on Wednesday.
Initially reported as missing by her father Rakesh Kumar on July 18, an FIR was quickly lodged, prompting an extensive investigation led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Guriqbal Singh Sidhu. The case took a dramatic turn on August 9 when an unidentified female body was found in suspicious condition in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh.
While the girl's parents identified the body as their daughter's, consistent police doubts led to further investigations. Their persistence paid off when the girl was eventually found alive in Panchkula. She has since been reunited with her family, with more investigations ongoing, Sidhu confirmed.
