A Russian drone attack on a medical battalion vehicle in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region has resulted in two fatalities and three injuries, according to regional police reports.

The drone strike occurred in the settlement of Bilyy Kolodiaz and claimed the lives of two medics, Serhii Bolvinov, head of the investigative department of the National Police, announced on Facebook. Additionally, three civilians in a nearby moving car sustained injuries in the assault.

Although Russia denies targeting civilians intentionally, the ongoing 2-1/2 year invasion of Ukraine has seen thousands of civilian deaths and injuries from such strikes.
