Police have detained five men for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman and making a video of the act, officials announced Wednesday. The incident occurred on the night of August 9, according to the police.

The complainant claimed the suspects forcefully took her from her home to a secluded location where they raped her, the police stated.

She further alleged that the men made a video of the act and threatened to kill her if she reported it.

Circle Officer Anjani Kumar revealed that the woman reported the incident after the accused began threatening to post the video on social media.

"An FIR was lodged on Wednesday, and we have detained all the accused. Interrogation is underway, and they will soon be arrested," Kumar stated. The accused are believed to be from the same village as the survivor.
