Tragic Drownings Claim Lives of Six Children in Jharkhand
Six children drowned in separate incidents in Jharkhand's Deoghar and Garhwa districts. In Deoghar, three children, aged eight and nine, were found in a pond after being reported missing. Another three children drowned in Babhani Khand Dam, Garhwa. Police recovered the bodies and confirmed their identities.

In a tragic development, six children were found dead in separate water bodies in Jharkhand's Deoghar and Garhwa districts on Friday, according to police reports.
Deoghar's Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Ritvik Shrivastava, confirmed that three children, aged eight and nine, were discovered in a pond in Dodia village. Their parents had reported them missing a day earlier.
Later in the day, three more children were recovered from Babhani Khand Dam in Garhwa district. Satyendra Narayan Singh, the Sub-divisional Police Officer of Banshidhar Nagar Untari, identified the deceased as Suraj Oraon (11), Manish Minz (13), and Chandrakant Kumar (9). The bodies were found following a search that began when the children did not return home by the afternoon.
