Former Principal Questioned in Doctor's Murder Case

Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, was questioned by the CBI for a second consecutive day regarding the rape and murder of a doctor. The extensive interrogation, which began Friday and continued into Saturday, focused on Ghosh's initial reactions, communication actions, and work rosters prior to the incident.

Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, appeared before the CBI for questioning on Saturday. This marks the second consecutive day of his interrogation in connection with the rape and murder of a doctor.

The CBI began questioning Ghosh on Friday. The session extended till 3 am on Saturday. He was made to sit in a room at the CBI's CGO Complex office until the questioning began at 9.30 pm, an officer reported.

During the initial round of questioning, Ghosh was grilled on various aspects, including his reaction to the doctor's death and how he managed the situation. The former principal was also asked about the demanding schedules assigned to the victim. Ghosh, who resigned a couple of days after the body was discovered, requested protection through his lawyer, which was directed to a single bench by the Calcutta High Court.
