Tribal Youth Assaulted: Repeat Offender Nabbed in Indore

A known criminal, Ritesh Rajput, was arrested in Indore for assaulting a tribal youth and forcing him to tie his shoelaces. The incident, captured on CCTV, stemmed from a road altercation. Rajput, with a criminal history including ten cases of loot and assault, faces new charges under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act.

Indore police arrested Ritesh Rajput on Monday, just a day after he allegedly assaulted a tribal youth and coerced him into tying Rajput's shoelaces.

The altercation, caught on CCTV, occurred under Bhanwarkuan police station's jurisdiction and was reportedly tied to a driving dispute, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Yadav.

Rajput, who has at least ten pending cases of loot and assault, is now facing fresh charges under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Upon being taken to the crime scene, Rajput acknowledged his mistake, repeatedly stating his regret while holding his ears.
