Congress Pushes for JPC Probe Amid Adani Controversy

In a determined move, the Congress party will conduct 20 press conferences across the country on Wednesday, emphasizing the urgent need for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the Adani issue.

Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary in-charge of communications, indicated the party's focus on the economic ramifications of the matter, particularly for small investors and the integrity of capital market regulators.

The call for a JPC probe comes after Hindenburg Research accused the Adani Group of fraudulent activities, allegations which both the group and SEBI chairperson have firmly denied.
